Dees goal sneak in hot water after Moore concussion

Melbourne goal sneak Kysaiah Pickett could be in some MRO trouble, after a dangerous head-high bump on Collingwood skipper Darcy Moore.
During the second term, Moore was chasing a loose ball deep inside Melbourne’s forward 50, when Pickett came attacking.
Moore slid to his knees to attempt to grab the ball, but Pickett kept his feet, pushing past the Pies defender and using his elbow to take out his head on the way through.

Moore lay motionless on the MCG turf for a few seconds but got up and took his free kick.
Meantime, Pickett came face-to-face with angry Pies players, headed up by Brayden Maynard, who had no issue going after the Dees’ small forward.

Moore was then subbed out of the match, just after half time, with the club confirming he had suffered a concussion from the incident.
Pickett’s act will very likely draw the MRO’s attention as Moore’s failed his HIA.
Meantime, the Demons farewelled forward Alex Neal-Bullen with a strange banner message.
“A big farewell to Alex Neal-Bullen and Ben Brown,” The Dees’ banner read.

With Brown the only one of the pair retiring, it has raised eyebrows as to why the club would include Neal-Bullen in the well-wishes.
Neal-Bullen has told the Demons that he will formally request a trade to South Australia at the season’s end, to be closer to family.
Neither the Pies nor the Demons can technically qualify for the 2024 finals series.
